Who we are

Sole Trader Toolkit is a UK-based directory of finance tools and resources for sole traders and freelancers. It's operated by Catherine Louise Cleator, trading as Sole Trader Toolkit. You can contact us at hello@soletradertoolkit.co.uk.

What information we collect

Contact form: if you get in touch through our contact form, we collect your name, your email address and your message.
Email sign-ups: if you sign up for MTD deadline reminders, we collect your email address.
Website usage: with your consent, we collect information about how you use the site, such as the pages you visit and the type of device you use. This doesn't identify you by name.

The answers you give in our MTD checker stay in your browser and aren't sent to us.

How we use your information

To reply to your enquiry if you contact us.
To send you the emails you signed up for: reminders before Making Tax Digital and Self Assessment deadlines, plus occasional updates and tips on tools that can help. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
To understand how people use the site, so we can improve it.

We don't sell your information, and we don't share it with anyone except the services listed below.

Services we use

Hostinger hosts this website and handles our contact form.
Kit stores our email list and sends our emails. Kit is based in the US, so your email address may be stored outside the UK. Kit protects it with the safeguards required under UK data protection law.
Google Analytics helps us understand how visitors use the site. It's only used if you accept analytics cookies.

How long we keep your information

We keep contact form messages for as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry. We keep your email address until you unsubscribe.
