  • HMRC-recognised for MTD, with quarterly updates and the year-end submission in one app

  • Simple, app-based and made for sole traders and landlords rather than accountants

  • A cheaper bridging plan if you want to keep your spreadsheet

  • 15% off annual plans for our readers with code STTK15

  • Free 14-day trial with no card needed

Cons:

  • The MTD filing plan is dearer than some free or bridging options

  • Less suited to businesses that need full accounting, such as payroll or VAT returns

  • If you’re not in MTD yet, you may not need more than the Bookkeeping plan

Who is Coconut best for?

Coconut suits sole traders and landlords who want one simple app for their records and their MTD updates, without learning full accounting software. If MTD applies to you from April 2027, the MTD filing plan covers everything. If you’d rather stick with your spreadsheet, the Bridging plan is a cheaper way to stay compliant.
